Hi Alberto,

I occasionally see a weak trace on 40 kHz using an indoor loop antenna, but I am not convinced that this is a real 'DX' signal. The signal I see is more than 10 dB down on NAU (40.75 kHz) from Puerto Rico.

Similar (negative) results currently on the 'Kiel Longwave Monitor' :

(compare magnitude for some US transmitters, at the moment there's nothing on Peter's graph around 40 kHz. Same here).

All the best and have a nice christmas season,
 73, Wolf .

Is there anybody in Europe that was able to receive the Japanese time&frequency standard station at 40 kHz ? If yes, could you please give details about the equipments, especially the antenna, used ?

I am trying since some time, night and day, but no luck so far....
