10dB might be a bit too much, your previous decodes were around
-25/-28dB here. Perhaps at some peaks of QSB, later in the night we
might still strike lucky.
Am considering knocking up a transverter for 500kHz and replacing the MF
ATU out at the feedpoint (currently have an HF auto-atu there) to allow
me to radiate some signals on 500 again.

I thought your mW signal was meant to be a challenge, but of course
Roger's already discovered that WSPR will decode signals that you
can't hear, and are often so weak on a waterfall that QRSS3 would be a
struggle (despite what someone here repeatedly fails to comprehend)
Can you go any lower?
