Dave
I have the service manual for the SPM-3 here in electronic form - BUT- I have not processed the scans etc yet so it's still rather large at about 140MB total for all files. It should be somewhat smaller when I get the pdf generated. However- I need threats of physical violence to encourage me to get on with this - I started this project for Alan (G3NYK) at least two years back and its still not finished!! And -with apologies to HAL- 'I'm sorry, Dave', my SPM3 is still working fine so never had to dig into it.

Dear LFers,

I have just acquired a Wandel & Golterman SPM-3, but it seems a bit deaf.
The wide-band setting works OK, but the "Selective" channel can't be
calibrated, and is 15 dB low in gain. Looks like a popped front-end or a damaged input circuit. I've opened up the case, but all the innards are in
screened metal boxes.

Is this a common fault with this unit, and does anyone have experience of
this fault? (and managed to fix it!)
