706 Mk2 G. 4 trs. old seems to be in trouble with the power settings. 1.830 min is 10 w max is 50 3.760 min is 5w max is 60w 7060 min is 3w max is 70 14050 min is 4w max is 95 all above to a dummy load. Wid all same cables, supply, connections etc. a ICOM 725 gives max of 95 plus or minus 5w on all bands. 706 coupled to antenna seems V. sensitive to SWR all was well until earlier this year. Anyone experienced this (seeming) drive trouble? Rx is fine so can pursue 136 rx. wid the pre-amp. But still unhappy. Bryan G3GVB |
