Summary info abt RU6's LF Field Day operation at March 1...6
(South-Eastern part of Eu Russia - QTH Machta - QTH-loc: KN97LN -

MARCH 1
Restoration of the LF TX aerial (the vertical part of TX ANT is
damaged in time of a very strong wind of February 28 - speed up
to 35-37m/sec - it is a lot HAM's aerials is damaged in our region)
No my beacon from 1430z till 1830 for ZLs
Grabber in 60s mode at 137.7813...7780 from 20z
Propagation bad - some traces on freqs WD2XES and WD2XGJ after 1z,
but NO IDs
The noise are higher +6...10db than usually
DCF39's level abt -6db than usually (QRB abt 2000km)
Temp +3...-3(night) degr C, wind 8..12m/sec
MARCH 2
The new LF TX aerial is restored
Start beacon ("RU6LA" QRSS60) on abt 137.7889 (from 14z till 1834z)
Current in the TX aerial 3.1 A
The noise are higher abt +6db than usually
Make some CQs in QRSS3 after 19z - some signals in QRSS3 - but very noisy
Visual in EU range: S57A(O), YU7AR(O, S6), RA3YO(O, S6), DK1IS(O, S2),
?ZO (T/O - sri ON7ZO calling me), some NO IDs
Propagation is not so good
DCF39's level abt -6db than usually

Visual in EU range after 19z: YU7AR(very low - M/O in 3sec mode 1945z),
RA3YO O FB all times, nothing anybody
Make some CQs in QRSS3 - nil
Very noisy - propagation is bad
DCF39's level abt -10...12db than usually
Grabber in 60s mode at 137.7813...7780 from 2130z
Some traces on freq WD2XES and very clear some XES's dots and dash
from 0135z till abt 2z March 4 - nil at other times
Temp +2...-4(night) degr C, wind 6..30m/sec
MARCH 4
7z the blizzard began and wind continues, temperature abt -3
Make BOG abt 4km long to ZL - copper wire diam 0.3mm
Visual in 120s mode 137.788 - .7895 after 14z - some traces on freq
ZM2E's but NO ID
Start "RU6LA" QRSS120 on 137.7889 from 1530z till 1620z (TX freq is
down to 137.78875 because of temperature in FD shack is down)
Current in the TX aerial 2.8-3 A
Visual in 120s mode 137.788 - .7895 after 1620z - some traces on freq
ZM2E's but NO ID
After 1830z CQ in CW on 136.6 abt 45min - only YU7AR QSO 559/559
After 1915z CQ in QRSS3, but only RA3YO reply
Very noisy and NO any QRM lines on scren (!)
DCF39's level abt -12...15db than usually
Start beacon "RU6LA" QRSS60 on 135.9225 from 22z till 0440z March 5
(abt 2z TX freq down .9223 because of temperature in FD shack is down
and at the end of TX abt 4z the freq became again .9225)

RA3YO start on 137.703 abt 0830z - very strong
Visual in 120s mode 137.788 - .7895 after 1330z - abt 14..1415z some
traces on ZM2E's(?) freq - NO ID
Start "RU6LA" QRSS120 on 137.7888 from 1515z till 1550z
Visual in 120s mode 137.788 - .7895 after 1550z till 1630z - nil
Start "RU6LA" QRSS120 on 137.7888 from 1630z till 1745z
Visual in 120s mode 137.788 - .7895 after 1745z till 1830z - some
traces on ZM2E's freq - NO ID
1840z start activity in EU range: OH5UFO O in QSO with DL3ZID O/M
DFC39's level is normal
The propagation to Europe began after 1950z - F6BWO (O/M in 3sec
mode !), HA6PC (O), YU7DP(O/M), DL2HRE(O), ON6ND?(T/M)
Start beacon "RU6LA" QRSS60 on 135.9227 from 23z
Abt 4z March 6 my freq is down to 135.9225)
The equipments:
RX - BOG 1.7km to EU, BOG abt 4km to ZL (copper wire diam 0.3mm),
RF amlifiers, electromechanical filter (wide 2.1kHz, 136.775kHz
center), Kenwood TS-850, ARGO Ver 1 build 134 by Alberto I2PHD
TX - Big Vertical with H effective abt 70m, PA abt 100W Output - current
in the TX aerial abt 2.4-3.2A (various at different weather and wind)
DDS VFO, QRS 4.01 by Rik ON7YD
I have looked argocaps of Dex W4DEX and Jay W1VD is my signals (astable
and coincides on times on mine argocaps) - I believe that the first
receptions of Russia in USA! - I congratulate both!
QRB abt 9016km (W4DEX) and 8066km (W1VD)
Way Russia - Northern America very difficult through auroal oval
Later I shall do a page on my wwww with all interesting captures - request
to send files of my signal
