Yes the space above all your property is a "free for all for
telecommunications purposes" that means front, back and side gardens! :-)
Flying Wire powers were granted to the Post Office early in the last century
and were carried forward when BT was privatised.
You either accept flying wires or you'd need to have lots more poles so that
wires wouldn't cross other peoples property.
