Hi Jim & LF,
Thanks again Jim for the instructions using JASON, I was able to receive
your transmission last night (screen shot attached). Although I was able to
hear your signal I still feel very excited about receiving in that mode for
the first time.
The checks I made following your advice made me realise how mis-aligned my
receiver (Yeasu FT747GX) was, so I spent some time yesterday afternoon
carrying out re-alignment & managed to achieve an error of no more than 2 Hz
in the USB, LSB & CW modes using the test equipment available to me. The
transceiver needs to switched on for at least an hour to reach best
frequency stability, so little by little I am refining the station for
operation on 136 Khz, Unfortunately a little accident building the
transmitter has left me without one of the main components & the supplier is
out of stock until mid January.
I will be interested (as I am sure others will be) to see the results of the
transmission here on LF e-mail.
Regards
Gary G4WGT
