Many, many thanks to all of you that took the time to reply to my inquiry. Many of you wrote very detailed replies. In general, the advice tended to indicate that VFO's are out, for anything but straight CW, while crystals/mixed can provide reasonable stability for short QRSS work (QRSS3-10). For long duration QRSS, DDS stability / frequency setting will be required. Thanks again...you have all given me much to think about! Steve / VE7SL |
