<< BEACON ON 136.150 KHZ
I have put on air an LF beacon, running H24, on 136.150 khz. This is of a
temporary nature and the frequency can be shifted to accomodate those who
have a problem with their xtal freq transmitters or who have local reception
problems.
I would very much welcome reception reports on these transmissions, my
callsign, EI0CF, is repeated continuously. >>
Sounds interesting, What is H24?
Re communication: Not all operators have access to the internet to express
their thoughts on beacon operation. At this location G3KEV is frequently
heard around this frequency but as far as I know he is not on the net.
Similarly, I believe there is a beacon on in Germany which has been on for
weeks with low erp, in the middle of the band.
Is there a particular duration, or experiment planned.
I'll have a listen for it after the weekend - When the neighbours switch off
the QRM.
Could be interesting to see the differences between daytime and night time
propagation.
