Dear group, Today the average VLF QRN level was pretty low! Also the minimum QRN gap in the morning becomes braoder again. Maybe the most awaited DX period starts slowly? Best wishes, Stefan/DK7FC

Hello Stefan, I'm afraid that this is not really the case. At present the European lightning map shows very little activity. But with summer im progress, the Medeterranean will warm up. This results

Dear LF/VLF, Yesterday und today the QRN levels are as low as never before since i am monitoring the VLF band. The noise at 6470 Hz is even 10 dB lower than during my test on 1st august, the DFCW-60

Do you mean LF and VLF can be compared in that situation? I remember Scott/VE7TIL has reported that LF was totally down before some weeks but he received the EU MSKs very well anyway. this was just a

Oh yes, indeed. I just saw that GBZ is much weaker in the moment on my wideband window, also DHO38 but not so JXN and all the 3 Alphas (which are stronger than in the last 13 hours)! The MSKs traces

Hi Jacek, interesting but there is no real cause for absorption at present, and it would not affect groundwave. However there was a flare this morning at around 0400 0500z . This would have enhaced t
