Hi All, I now often check around 500KHz for what is going on, I usually see on SpecLab (sometimes hear) a continuous carrier very near to 500KHz. On looking/listening tonight the signal frequency is

Hi Gary, I dont know how they work but I would suggest the digibox is deriving a linescan rate from the received digital TV signal periodically and it applying that to the analogue signal it generate

Hi Alan, Markus & LF, Here is an interesting result, I wrote :- " I believe that the stepping effect is probably due to the "Freeview" digi-box because the TV is an older analogue model & I would exp

Hi Markus, Not so monitored, I watched 500KHz last night deliberately around the time my wife switched the set on therefore proving it was my own TV. I believe that the stepping effect is probably du

Gary, interesting - one of your family members seems to be switching channels rapidly ;-) During my LORAN monitoring, I often saw a grid pattern which didn't average out in 5 minutes or longer integr

Hi Gary Thanks for that information. It confirms the comments I made earlier when we started to think about 600m possibilities. I suggested that we avoid 500kHz exact because of this possible problem

Hi Alan & LF, I checked out the strange stepped signal on 500KHz & sure enough it is my own TV set downstairs. 73 Gary - G4WGT. Hi Tom 500kHz is 32 times the 15.625kHz line frequency for 50Hz framing

Hi Alan, many thanks for that info! Looks if I would have a simple 500kHz QRPPP "TV set on/off"-CW TX if we will get 500 kHz...hi At least for 100-200 m that would be "good enough" for QRSS10 or so

Hi Tom 500kHz is 32 times the 15.625kHz line frequency for 50Hz framing TV sets. That is why I suggested to the RSGB representative that we do not ask for an allocation at 500 exactly !! I remember t
