Hi Joe,

It would be interesting to receive a first message from you here. You need to be sure that the phase is stable from the feedback probe because we may need to stack a few days. I would suggest 2 or better 1 character in 16K21A. The start time should be arround your local sunset and the stop time 06:00...06:30 UTC.
It would be an exciting experiment and a new distance record for you :-)
I just ope for some more sun in the next days. My battery status is critical on the tree again. The forecast is not good, unfortunately...

This is remarkable. Is this your first TA reception below 9 kHz on a spectrogram? The 0600ut enhancments are interesting too.

I've only managed to detect the sigs at 7 km and perhaps at 20 km (on Signal Hill) using an E-probe and a notepad. 3500km is astounding
and a sure sign that work is needed on my RX methods.

The carrier will continue tonight with EbNaut to follow tomorrow evening.

Yes, look at this from a few days ago,

and more if you scroll back a day at a time. Note how quite
frequently the signals comes up very strong at about 06:00
for half hour or so.

If you scroll back to the 10th there's Stefan on 8270.005
but no more sign of your signal. For some reason it's
started showing up in the spectrogram since about the 13th.

I hope to get the new E-field system running again this week-
end if I can complete a re-build.

A couple of pics of the front-end on the bench

It slides neatly into the base of the antenna tube. I've added
a calibration port which works great.

My new calibrator, built into a plastic toolbox,

has outputs for voltage injection into the E-field front-end
and current injection to the H-field. Looking forward to
running it in anger up at the antenna site.
