Hi Chris and Paul,
Very well, that is a remarkable success over that path in JT9-1!
When Paul will have his antenna ready, maybe you can have a two-way QSO :-)
Paul, i still have some wire here that i bought just for LF some weeks
ago. I could quickly wind a new coil and give you another signal to
detect. But you see, i'm still quite busy on VLF... One day i will be
back...

I have no words to express how much fun I am having just listening on
2200m! This has really put the fun back into radio for me. It will be
even more fun when I get the transmitting antenna and transmitter up!
I can monitor WSPR-2, JT9, and QRSS/DFCW simultaneously. I also just
added a secondary receiver which I use for CW reception or listening
to other things near the band.
My thanks to Chris for being there every night providing a signal. So
far he is the only trans-Atlantic signal this season, though there
were others last winter. I hope to see more in the near future.
I have no idea why PSKReporter didn't get my JT9 spots but I made a
screen capture showing the details:

I was very pleased with 9 WSPR-2 spots in addition with best signal
-23. I had 8 the previous night.

Hello Stefan,
Thanks, I was detected last night twice I think by N1BUG and I was
using JT-9 (one minute TX sequences). For whatever reason Paul did not
get the spots showing on the PSKReporter site, even though his WSJT-X
software had the box ticked to upload spots. When I was received in
Europe on JT-9 ages ago only a few spots got on the map, it seems a
bit flaky for JT-9 spots for some reason. I think Paul saw SNR's of
-25 or -26 for the two. He got me 9 times last night with WSPR though,
which suggests conditions are improving and his new low noise vertical
receive antenna is doing a superb job!

I think that W1VD has detected my signal some years ago. But that was
not JT9-1. There have been older versions of JT9, allowing to use
longer
time periods, up to 30 minutes i think! That was better for LF!
I am not so sure about the detection by W1VD. Maybe Jay want's to
comment...

Has there been a previous trans Atlantic reception of a JT-9 signal
from the UK?
