Thanks Paul for the encouraging report. The daytime S/N on the 8th was
the best so far, wasn't it?
A confirmation at DL0AO (and KL7) will be a significant achievement for
this tiny signal. Thanks for setting up the RX and your updates, Markus.
The next step is to reduce the QRI on the carrier. At the moment, the
neo7 is talking (NMEA) to the raspi3 via max232/rs232-usb converter and
the raspi3 is ready to send commands the neo7. Doing a cat file.dat >
dev/ttyUSB0 results data appearing at the voltage clamp placed across
the max232 TTL output. This will eventually be connected to the RX
terminal of the neo7. It seems to me that if the correct commands are
put in file.dat, the neo7 will provide 10 MHz to clock the dds. Another
command is needed to restore the pps to continue experimenting with SL
eventually.
Please accept my apologies for being inept in this area. Being
disciplined and stable are challenging for some!

Hi Joe,
we've now also set one of the DL0AO 9.3 uHz instances from 6470 back
to 8270. The image will be updated tomorrow, but it already seems to
show some activity around Oct 4th, albeit not yet statistically
significant. The 30 hour integration may suffer from day-night phase
differences. But once you have GPS lock working, we may try stacking
days and nights separately using FFT export data.

Hello Markus,
Yes, the TX is QRV 10 uW on 8370.00709 Hz +- QRI a few ppb and has
been on
since 4 October. This is exciting news. Let's hope it appears again.
Best Regards
Joe

Joe, have you also been on VLF yesterday Oct 9th? There seems to be
a small dash on your frequency on the DL0AO grabber (EW earth-loop,
31.4 uHz, 1 hour scroll).

(unfortunately the 31 uHz instance has been restarted today but the
dash is still visible).
