Hi all If its a fairly light weight mast High Voltage Bus Bar insulators may be worth a look. These devises have thread inserts of typically 6 / 8 /10mm and are good for 15kV [plus. I doubt you will come near that level of stress. These thing have a full spec electrically and mechanically so a fag packet design could be worked up. They are not prohibitively expensive. I use them for my insulated pole antennas. The size of thread gives a first cut clue as to their physical strength but would recommend you do the sums and probably keeping them in compression rather than shear where poss is best. E-bay a good source. 73 petefmt On Sat, Jun 24, 2017 at 5:37 PM, Chris Wilson <[email protected]> wrote: Hello LF'ers |
