GD Genossen LFers!

At first, the topic on the russian 136.su forum about quadrocopter using for the long or full-size ants:
Dima RK2Y(ex RA3YO) discussed that theme at 2013.

As result:

-)) I have a 8 motor drone but can fly only 20 minutes with one Kg payload.
A kite or baloon is better.

I find a copter with 2.5 kg payload for video - the price around 60000 rub (exchange rate was 30rub/$, 74 for today), the flying time not more 20 minutes. 15 min normally.

We are discuss a question about copter powered by wire from the ground, but that question was remains open.

Alexander, RN3AUS remember about the article on the cqham.ru about the 74m high ant for 160ms:

It was real and success experiment.
I remember PE1RRF used are the same system at the day's of sep 2007 when I was start to SWL LF.

See below for the following remark. 73!

Hi Fausto, LF,

...did he really? I think there is some doubt around this story. With a coherer, it would be very hard to prove the difference between receiving a signal consisting of just three dots, and false triggering by random statics. Considering a situation where a success was badly needed, the reception may well have been the result of wishful thinking.

He use electrolitic detector.
No speach about 500 kHz or any other freq.
The spark TX get a very wide spectrum up to 50 MHz and is not know exactly whats freq working in that situation.
Notoriously Marconi switched off a preselector and use a direct ant connection to detector in the process of his experiment.

Also we know Fesseden was first real experimentator who really TXing over the Atlantic.
The freq's of his alternators was not more then 40 kHz.

Today we'd simply say "show us the screenshot" ;-)

Best 73,
Markus

Seriously speaking, the difficulties are very big, as rightly says Stefan 160 meters band, has a very different behavior but, do not forget that in 1901 Guglielmo Marconi received a signal across the Atlantic at a frequency around 500 kHz and with a receiver that in comparison with those of today was a tack. Ok were "only" 3500 Km.
Today what are we doing more with our ultramodern equipment?
Today we have SDR, filters, DSP, noise reducer, Marconi at Signal Hill had a drop of mercury.
Today obtain a considerable power is relatively easy and inexpensive,
114 years ago there were only Ruhmkorff coils then, how much power was actually radiated
no one ever taken the trouble to measure it.
But as they did then my compatriot to get those great results: trying, trying and trying again trying to improve something every day.
The important thing is to think that nothing is impossible, maybe improbable but not impossible.
Tonight I bored with the history of telegraphy...:-)
