I've been testing a little 25W GW3UEP Class-E transmitter for the
past few
weeks and have just completed some observations of its performance
at QRSS
speeds, using the VA7JX 630m grabber. I'm pretty surprised at how
stable the
xtal controlled signal is at the faster QRSS speeds and is even
useable at
QRSS60 although somewhat chirpy by then. I decided to let the tx
run all
night at QRSS60 and any reception reports would be very
appreciated.
It is sending "SL" into my large 170' inverted L.
I think it's close to 475.044 and Jack's grabber is showing
475.0477 so it's
probably somewhere in between :-) The grabber, and the chirp, can
be seen

Really not too terrible for an HC-49 crystal costing 51 cents!
