Yes, Yes !

It is exactly the same effect here as I just see at your screen capture. I think there is no remedy at all, except perhaps to steal the TV when the mother and baby are outside home ???

Hi Andy

Thankfully Plasma is old technology, my neighbor only kept his for 2
years. I think my lectures about the possible effects of such high
radiation on their young son (for whom, the Panasonic Plasma was the
child minder) may have had an influence on its early demise.
I often timed the period between arrival home of mother and baby,
parking the car and the switch on of the TV, around 27 seconds!

No amount of filtering reduced the levels, much is radiated by the
screen and internal wiring and electronics, the manufacturer had already
attempted much suppression. It is amazing that it got past the EMC
regulations, (money talks).

I think maybe this capture is a better proof that the TV was the source
of the QRM.

Hi John, and yes Eddie !

Same problem here. My neighbor bought a Plasma TV some months ago. When he turns it on, the QRM is very high each 50 Hz also.

On other way, he is also using CPL to carry on electrical lines the TV signal coming from Internet. That adds others lines each 16.7 Hertz.

That is very nice to see that on the screen, but a pity for the Ham's boys indeed ! What is the most important ? HI.

Recently a new source of QRM has started here Still trying to find it. On Argo it appears as a comb of lines with 50/100Hz spacing. Not even Stefan is detectable..
