Yes: file names with embedded spaces are bad.  I could fix this in 
WSJT-X, and perhaps I will; but in general (in my opinion) using such 
file names is unwise.
Reinstalled it to c:\wsjtx, and now it starts up fine.

One point for the wishlist: Would it be possible to select a
different center frequency for the spectrogram?
Possible, yes.  I have not yet had much time to spend on convenience 
features, but in time I'll get to it.
