The ROS-MF 2/7 is a 100
Hz b/w MFSK transmission ,
and would fit into the top 200 Hz of the
477 band , with 50 Hz guard band ,
Opera / Band edge ?
ROS MF Data mode is 100 Hz
wide and based round 1500 Hz
(Fixed) Audio frequency , MF-7 and MF-2
share the same 1500 Hz
ROS data mode requires a conventional
SSB tx / exciter (USB) to translate
the Tx drive audio , or can be used
with a SDR Tx
ROS MF-2 decodes at approx the
same level as WSPR and is a full live
keyboard qso mode , MF-7 is approx 7 dB
less sensitive , but gives live qso mode ,
approx 14 dB lower s/n than psk31 at similar
data rate .
Note the Opera and Ros s/n readings
are calibrated to the sim-path propagation
modelling software and are
approx 6 / 7 dB less than wspr
or fldigi
Each system reports the Average
s/n of the complete transmission
73 -G..
