Hi Jan,

Thanks for the info. Are you ready for a QSO? We can try. When i disconnect the antenna, the noise drops by more than 40 dB, so maybe it works on 501 as well. I still haven't heared a amateur radio station on MF in my live! So that would be a very premair.

If you are ready, tell me aQRG...

Stefan,

I can hear you, marginal...
In QSO some other DL station (?)

But maybe it's better to listen on 501kHz, possible the filter is less attenuated there.
Have my doubts, because you are very deep in the noise (and static)

FYI I have H24 solid CW QSO with g3xiz mostly S-7/8 about same distance both using about 100W.

MF,

Now my RX and active antenna is much better after adding a band filter in front of the first gate. Most probably there was an overload of the input before. Now DLF is 40 dB attenuated and the RX performs much better. I can hear the crashes / sferics and see several traces, still not sure if they are local QRM or a far field signal.

My TX is ready as well. I will *call CQ on 477.5 kHz in CW and look for skeds*! I can receive on 505 kHz (arround) as well but my filters in the RX already attenuate the region by about 20 dB... Anyway worth a try.

Starting now!
