Hi Eddie,

Confirmed, that is my signal. I just stopped the carrier and send DFCW-600 now. Try to receive it :-)

BTW interestingly my new CDF VLF grabber at http://www.iup.uni-heidelberg.de/schaefer_vlf/DK7FC_VLF_Grabber2.html is not overloaded although the distance to the TX antenna is 30m, around the corner. Must have to do with the electrical TX antenna and the magnetic RX antenna...
So this is a good monitor here, unfortunately for the phase glitches as well :-/

I'm using exactly the same equipment, settings and configuration as in the last test. Anyway the PC doesn't work now. This is why i had to do it by the LF PC. But now i have an idea what could be the reason. I installed winamp on that PC, for doing the WOLF tests. It is a very old version of winamp from 2000 or so. There is a "winamp agent" that automatically starts with the system. Maybe that causes trouble to the USB soundcard (the internal soundcard has a LPF arround 8 kHz). I will test that soon.

Eventually, if the wx and motivation holds on, i could run the TX for another night, with a break for the daily LF evening transmission of course...

Hi Stefan

I think it must be your signal in my 600 window. The cursor shows 8970.006 but then again it wont show the .005 step with these settings.
Silly boy here set two 60000 windows and no 6000 so we missed out overnight with 6000 grabs sorry.

** Note** Please Use http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23312120/vlfgrabber.html my bplaced site is firing adverts.

The old Notebook that did such a good job in the last VLF test seems to have a problem now. I had to switch to the LF PC. Here it works but maybe some phas glitches occur here :-/ We'll see. After that i intend to install a ready to use PC that is for transmiting exclusively.

Since 2:00:00 UTC the transmission should be reasonable stable.

VLF,

Now the TX is running. No HV problems this time. I'm running 500W. The coil current is close to 1A so the antenna current may be 850mA, 3 dB more than in november 2011.
The frequency is 8970.0050 Hz, "locked" to GPS within SpecLab.
I'm going to transmit a loooooooooong carrier until 9 UTC or so. Then i'll play arround a bit, depending on the results of local grabbers and activity.

Reports apprechiated.

I thought about giving WOLF10 (or 5) a try, as an exception. DF6NM would be the intended goal but everyone is invited to receive. If i will try WOLF then i have to use an unlocked frequency, i.e. just using the normal WOLF gui program. Anyway, at least no glitches on that 10 year old PC, hopefully.

PS: Odd, still 12 °C outside at 1 AM local...
