Hi Peter,

Try to active the samplerate detector. Choose the MSK demodulator algorithm and try to lock on GBZ 19.58 kHz. This transmitter is a fine reference. The German transmitter makes a coffee break each morning and may not be optimal for that. Note that it takes quite a long time in these very slow modes until the first pixel appears on the screen. Also you may run different instances of SL simultaneously, to check different things...

It could be helpful to resonate your antenna to 9 kHz with a low Q fixed inductor, 1 mH or so, to reduce the out of band signals.

O.K. Stefan,
I did finetune the Spectrum lab setting a bit.
I have no reference....
Antenna is just a 30 mb dipole direct into the soundcard.
Well... perhaps I'm a bit to optimistic...
Let's see what happens.

Hi Peter,

Interesting. What is your setup for VLF?
I think if you plan to see Gerhard tomorrow you must at least choose a FFT bin width below 1 mHz and 1 pixel per FFT bin. Also it is essential to be locked to a refernece.

A long story and not so easy to tell in 2 sentences :-)

O.K. Gerhard and Stefan,
It's clear now.
I'm new here and learing day by day :-)
73's, and succes.

BTW: RX is QRV here...

Peter!

Never mind!

As Stefan has already explained, "VLF" in this context means lower than
9khz. I will not tell the exact QRG but it will be very close to 8970,
of course. Some mHz below or above.
