The signals are probably more local to you & why I have not seen them.
 
The dial frequency for Opera should be set at 500.000kHz USB, the center audio tone is 1500 Hz & the maximum variation is +/- 200Hz, so as you say if someone has not set their dial correctly this could cause the problem. The parameters have been published & all users should be aware of this.
 
I have made a note of your comments & will discuss with the Opera team.
