Andy, Johan, Wolf, Scott, Dex, all,

Thanks for the useful links and suggestions. I'm looking forward to some tests and really would like to set up a link to a RX antenna for 137 in the forest!. Will try the 74HC4046 + a laser diode. In 2001 i already did some experiments on that and have a laser diode parallel fixed on a sighting telescope.

Hi Stefan,

Clint Turner http://ka7oei.com/ has interesting information on his "optical
communications page" http://modulatedlight.org/optical_comms/optical_index.html.
Linear's design note DN399 about photodiode amplifiers may also be worth reading
http://cds.linear.com/docs/Design%20Note/dn399f.pdf (it uses a BF862 FET which I
think is already one of your favourites).

Oops... 650nm wavelength is perhaps O.T. on this reflector.
