Plugs and sockets seem to vary from member state to member state.
Both 2 pin and 2 pin+earth plugs are available in
France. Two pin sockets are no longer allowed for new
installations but both types of plug will go into a 2 pin+earth socket.
The 2 pin plug is reversible but the 2 pin+earth is not.
