Hi Jim

Just to let you know that I heard you twice, once with Chas G3DXZ in the morning, when I had to leave and paint the back fence, then later, work done I heard you with Chris G3XIZ in the evening, when I was called for dinner. You had a very good signal 599 plus here in Biggleswade. Look forward to a successful QSO in the future.

Dear LF Group,

Thanks to G3KEV, PA3ABK, G3DXZ, and G3XIZ for the QSOs so far - it is a real treat to actually be able to hear signals and the band noise rather than QRM for a change! The antenna seems pretty efficient; I calculate ERP is roughly 10W with about 100W TX.

I am QRT on 500k for the next hour while I have something to eat, but will be QRV again from perhaps 1830utc for a few hours until I succumb to hypothermia / get thrown out etc ;-) So for I have just been using CW, but can probably transmit other modes if you let me know in the next hour - internet connection isn't very easy at the /P site.

Cheers, Jim Moritz
