Thanks Mal. Actually I think if you got an NoV and became active on 8-9kHz it would be a real stimulus to others too and you'd enjoy the challenge. Although I know you don't much like beaconing and prefer real QSOs (I can understand this) providing a good strong and stable G3KEV signal on the band would be very useful indeed to others. You've already proved that your receiving system is good and it doesn't require too much more from people like G3XIZ and G4WGT (further north) for a slowish DFCW or QRSS QSO to be on the cards later this year. So, some inter-G Dreamer's Band radiated QSOs are not that remote a possibility. Internationally there are 3-4 stations lining up to work you. You've done so much already on the LF bands and this would be a real opportunity for you to contribute and win some new records. Actually I think you've been quite surprised by what has proved possible on this band and wouldn't mind giving it a go really, HI. If it helps with preparing yours, I'm happy to send you a copy of my own 9kHz NoV submission to OFCOM and I'm sure that others would too. Finally, have you thought about setting up a grabber for VLF, if only to be used during specific tests? Using Dropbox (thanks to John GM4SLV for this suggestion) and Spectrum Lab or Spectran it is extremely easy to set up. Although I'm no expert, I'm happy to share how I did it, if it helps. Judging by the results at the weekend, a grabber at your QTH would be very useful. All the best 73s Roger G3XBM On 8 February 2011 19:36, mal hamilton <[email protected]> wrote:
