Ah yes, know it well, as a Cumbrian who lived just up the road but had an LA
postocode too.

Scarborough isn't actually in Yorkshire it's a wholly self governing enclave
that declared UDI some years ago and now is a world leading exporter of fish
and chips!!

Perhaps Mal used to live in that part of Yorkshire (near Ingleton) which has
Lancashire postcodes, or in Diggle - a village to the west of Standedge
tunnel which I understand is historically part of Yorkshire but is currently
under Lancastrian administration.
