Mal,

The evidence to prove the reception of Stefan's VLF signals is very strong indeed. Take a look at the various postings and screenshots here and at the various grabbers and websites.

How does anyone know that the faint trace was Stefan without an ID. I wish everyone success but there is so much guesswork about. I need to be  convinced and no way would I claim any hits without a proper callsign ID on a frequency.
I saw a  trace appear once and it was suggested by a VE7 station that it was my neighbours toaster, but by conincidence iit came on and off roughly at the same time as the DK carrier transmission.

Hi John,

weIl I think I can claim reception of my 90 uW ERP kite signal on 6470 Hz by Paul Nicholson on November 13:
Transmitter near Nuernberg at 49.3874 N 11.1692 E, receiver Todmorden 53.703N 2.072W, distance about 1034 km according to

But on the other hand, it looks like on December 4th, 4X1RF saw at least a very faint trace of Stefan on 6470 Hz as well.

Best wishes,
MArkus

Ah John,

Sorry, there is another bug: The QTH of the kite antenna is JN49IS36VH, near Darmstadt.
The Earth antenna is in Heidelberg, JN49IK67

I have changed the entries in the list below.

I am writing a piece on VLF for the Cave Radio & Electronics Group Journal and would like to include distance records.  Can people please confirm that the following information is correct (or not)?

The QTH of SQ5BPF is Washaw. The rest is correct.

I did successful tests to Roschbach just on 8970 Hz, not on 6470 and 5170. The distance is 49.6 km (since my earth antenna QTH is different to the kite antenna QTH).

Thanks too.

Thank you.
