Assuming this is right .. qrss  600  will  have a  dit  length  of  600 seconds = 10 minuets and at  3:1 dit/dash   dash = 30 minuets  , it  would take  over 1 hour to  invite the  other  side to  TX ...the  sun would be  shining  by then and game over !

Not often but this time  may be its  One , Nill  to  the  elder statesman

G ..

QRSS keying, you can convert QRSS times to WPM by using the formula WPM =1.2 / (Dit Length in Seconds). So for QRSS-30 (30 second dit), you have 0.04 WPM speed

So it's a case of managing to cross the pond .... and then give up ?

If you need qrs 600 to communicate GIVE UP,  its a ridiculous request, no one has that amount of time to wait for a single digit. Think how long it would take for a proper QSO.
You are a late comer to LF and must understand the oceans have already been spanned at speeds around  QRS 60 and faster. A proper engineered station can communicate with the USA and Russia on normal CW. I have already achieved this on CW and QRS 3.

Hello Alberto,

I have a question too: Is it possible to add a "QRSS-600" and/or a "QRSS-300" mode? Many OMs are using your program which does a good job (just as Rik's QRS program for transmitting). Those who want to RX a VLF transmission in DFCW-600 cannot do that in ARGO currently.

If it would be easy and no problem for you to give out a new release, it could be interesting for some :-)

Best 73!

Stefan/DK7FC
