Roelof The antenna is a mini-whip, mounted 5 metre up the stem of a magnolia tree. Effective capture area is 30 x 40 mm. Wonder if you've tried mounting your 30 X 40 mm capture area antenna directly to a ground system at ground level - so it protrudes 40 mm above the ground? If so, what were the signal levels like?
