Hi Rik,

Dang, that is a serious arc. All my flyback transformers have a case around them with epoxy potting compound. They are out of computer monitor boards. I will look for an old TV chassis here and see if that flyback looks like the one in your picture.

will see what is meant.
Most likely you will have to rewind it.
It worked fine here as output transformer in my 136kHz/450W TX but got too hot 
in my 502kHz/300W TX.
