Well, not much to choose between the two here... see the output logs for both modes at the 2.5W level below. Some selective fading was evident, as you can see in the attachment, where the HF mode signal (at the higher power 10W level around 2157utc) starts off stronger than the narrower EME signal, but the situation reverses during the 4 minutes or so transmission. But there does not seem to be any definite advantage of one mode over the other - both drop out from time to time during the deeper fades. Either mode would clearly have been viable for a QSO, which is quite impressive considering the low power in use.
