Sadly,
nothing copied here this afternoon. I did notice an increase in noise level from
about 15h00 UTC onwards..
Better
luck next time!

Dear
all.
I'm
also set up to receive on 8970 hz now....although I don't know how effective
it will be. I have resonated my 137 kHz TX antenna with a 1 H
inductor, and I can hear the 11.905 Alpha station clearly. I measure it
as -70 dBm in a 24Hz bandwidth using W&G
SPM-30.
Good
luck!

Dear LF,
just talked to Stefan, and he said he will
start a little later than expected, probably sometime after 13:00
UT. He also confirmed that the frequency will be 8970 (not 8790) Hz.
Best wishes, and keeping fingers
crossed...
Markus

transmission
Greetings all,
Just getting ready for a
field trip and checked the mail again:

Really 8.790 kHz now, or center frequency again at
8.970 kHz as in the last test ? Markus, can you confirm the frequency
? Guess the latter is the right frequency, since Markus' spectrogram
is also centered on 8970 Hz, not 8790 :

I
will leave my VLF stream (via Paul's server) running from home for a
some time, see http://abelian.org/vlf/ Not sure if
I will have internet access at the remote site to check it, and not
even sure if the compression (which is involved in the audio
streaming) will leave such signals intact. Anyway, we'll
see.
