Tnx Gary and the group for that excellent discussion!
Maybe, if you are involved in that VLF group, you can give them a hint what is
happening here in the last days ;-))
I rather will spend my time for setting up that vertical TX antenna on
8,9kHz... I will start in 30min, driving to my parents, where my
"electronic-lab" is ;-) Building that PA, tmw getting and testing and
resonating that coil. Testing the PA at the coil (if there are HV and heating
problems). Perhaps, if everything, including the wind, will be right, i will
try a transmission on sunday morning but that is still uncertain and i would
tell it to the group before.
I wrote a mail to some Lowfers in my region if it's possible to RX there.
Bernd/DF8ZR is just abt 16km away from my /p QTH and well equipped on low
frequencies. Marco/DD7PC is abt 45km away...

Hi Stefan, LF,
There is a VLF Group at the following :-
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/VLF_Group/
<http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/VLF_Group/> The members discuss & are
involved in a different field of VLF, mainly in "natural radio"
Have a look at some of the discussions, it is an interesting & informative
group.

Which commercial VLF transmitters can actually be received in the 10kHz
range? There is much listed in the web but in times where these transmitters
are shut down all this may be already old stuff. Who is receiving in this
frequency region and can tell us a frequency and the SNR he is achieving? There
are so many OMs who watch the VLF sector and have nothing done with LF and this
group. Perhaps it it an idea to activate/motivate them for some tests, to
increase the RXers density.
Maybe it is good to compare some RX rprts in that region. But i will rather
be active at the transmitters front now ;-)
