I use a Softrock Lite on 500kHz connected to a Mini-Whip active antenna. I get a hump in various places depending on what part of the band the main antenna is tuned to, so I have to put up with that. If the main antenna is disconnected from the tuning coil at the base then the Softrock & Mini-Whip produces a flat band from 490 kHz to 510 kHz.

 its a very (very) quiet night so far on LF/MF which may signify either very good or very bad, and am present looking for signals from NA -
 
 
Im not that good to tell you which until Eu gets dark. Its not been very good the past day or so with mediocre signals on 137 from DCF39 et al  - still Ill be looking on any desired freq.
 
I can hear Loran clatter on 137 which means the local QRN is very low and NDB "DD" (Located near Xlbreast, China) :-) is putting is a Fully developed signal. 
 
Nice clear night here already and looking for some nice shooting stars..saw a couple of
spectacular ones last week in Mexico.
