Hello Andy,

if I got it right the RX software will make a correct measurent as long as the signal is there during the 5 second period, even if the transmission start a few seconds early and stops a few seconds late ? That would make timing far less critical and it would be possible to use my QRS software (eg. sending an "E" at 10 seconds dotlength).

Q .. If the  tx is keyed by vox/breakin    will the slight  clipping of
the  leading edge of the  beacon  cause time problems ??
reason being  .. if use force 'tx' will miss the  beacon rx windows ??
