News travels fast why has it taken so long for you to catch up, newcomer ?????

Scott, it's even worse than that!

Mal isn't often to be observed moving his transmit frequency to
match the other station, so his QSOs usually take up double the
bandwidth than is needed, and on top of that he often operates on 2,
or
3, bands at once, and with more power than strictly needed for the
QSO
in hand.

Talk about a spectrum hog.

If he's really keen on spectrum conservation he should practice what
he
preaches - net accurately, ensure correct keying shape to minimise
spectral occupancy of his CW signal and utilise the minimum
transmit
power needed for each QSO. Never exceeding the 1W ERP limit,
naturally.

At a lowly 12 wpm he must occupy almost 50Hz, how many WSPR mode
transmissions could more usefully fit into that space? If, as usual,
he
hasn't netted accurately, or at all, his QSO partner is also using
another 50Hz elsewhere on the band.

People in glass houses should put the catapult down.

John
