Hello Gary,

It would be very nice to have a US band 600 meter grabber over on your side of the pond. Our stations run from 505 to 508kc. Most stations that call CQ or 2 way QSO go up to the 506-508kc part of the band. All activity is from local sunset so lets say 23:00utc to well past your sunrise time. That 518kc NAVTEX is a solid S-9 here at night. Wonder why it puts a image in your RX at 505.6kc? Have you tried a real tight lowpass filter? Could it be a broadcast band signal mixing with the NAVTEX signal creating the problem?

Maybe a good idea would be for the US guys to post to the RSGB reflector when they are on the air to increase the chance of a EU station to listen for our signals? I don't know who stays up late over there. There are not many US guys who stay up late...hi hi...I am retired so I can stay up to sunrise...hi hi...

Hi Mike, LF,

Is the frequency you mentioned going to be in regular use or maybe some
other popular frequency on 600m. I can set up a version of SpecLab on my
grabber with a split to that area of 600m.

I have not previously covered the U.S. section as I get a strong image of
the 518KHz NAVTEX at about 505.6KHz with the Softrock Lite SDR & wish to
avoid that frequency.

Let me know please.

Gary - G4WGT.
