Hi Alan,

I remember the old Hamcom, I used it myself years ago under DOS. I understand it has been updated as operating systems improve (perhaps "improve" is the wrong term Hi Hi ).

It is inconvenient having to run 2 progs but I hope to get round that someway. The big problem was that when I went to receive & swapped prog to MixW218 it had lost the signal sync so it took a little time to start decoding but despite Grahams prog crashes we completed the 2 way QSO. Perhaps we may get a mention in RadCom or somewhere for our 15 minutes of fame.

Cheers

Gary.

Hi Gary I was thinking you might do as well to use the old Hamcom for
transmit, but of course you have the same problem switching programs though you should be able to run two windows as Hamcom doesnt use the sound card. I
had wondered about RTTY having been an old adherent, indoctrinated
originally by Brian in the late 1960s !! I ran a non-linear PA on 70cms
quite successfully, and my synth get will easily generate proper FSK. All
that was with real mechanical decoders though !!

Cheers de Alan G3NYK
