Dear Colin, LF Group,

1150utc - Just had a QSO with G3VTT/P (along with G3UNT) - now a very good 599 signal here after a slightly wobbly start!. Colin reports QRM from broadcast stations, but still was able to give me a 579 Report. Would love to know what is holding the kite up...

Cheers, Jim Moritz

Hi All,

As I mentioned to one or two I am planning a trip to the beach today to try portable 502 Khz. I am not hopeful that there will be enough wind for the kite but intend to hike the 3 miles with Geoff G3YVF and his 'IRF510' tcvr anyway.

Ofcom have been informed so that if one of the 'roving Ofcom inspection teams' turn up we can greet them in the traditional manner. Our location is Egypt Bay North Kent if anybody wants to join us!

If any of you are still active on the band please keep an ear cocked, certainly at midday, wind permitting.
