Hi Alan,

OK on the psu, should be no problem with reggies, the 24V is for the
original twin Xtal VXO which only now use on the bench for testing, an
external DDS VFO is used now & the 12V is constant anyway with no load
changes. I'll have a look at the electronic fuse.

I don't monitor the PA supply volts contiuously only check when calculating
PA power but my digi voltmeter would not react quick enough to see a very
short duration increase.

I will keep you posted.

Hi Gary Ah that won't give any trouble, just make sure you have enough
"headroom" for the 3 legged reggies....4v should be enough but marginal if
you have droop under load. You have nothing active in the main supply to
take exception to strange loads. I think there is an electronic fuse on Dave
G3YXM's site that might be useful.....I dont know whether you would sense a
supply current increase before the failure.
