Now we're getting there. Translating from Latin in my schooldays ; various
words in English which are an intrinsic part of Latin words we had to show
by " (understood)"

So "GM " (understood by reference to the clock) "OM" (default generic
sexist assumption permissible ) "599" (by default of giving 4 or 7 or 8 )
73 (always understood by default) "de " (obviously intended so no need to
say ) call sign to be confirmed by QSL card or email. Thus :

"GM OM 599 73 de G3GVB " would be heard as utter silence, free from QRM
,QRN local noise and front end blocking. You could do it while still lying
in bed on cold mornings.

I like the idea of omitting default information from the transmission.
This philosophy can be extended even further: Default QSOs can be had
without sending anything at all! Signal reports are not needed as no
signals are transmitted. No need to send your own callsign because the
other station doesn't listen anyway and no need to send his callsign
because he already knows it.

Information that deviates from the default can be sent through another
channel e.g. e-mail.

There is a lot of advantages. For example, a considerable reduction of
both transmitter power and antenna size is possible. It may even be
possible to use an artificial antenna.
