Scott, Alex and LF,

I now have two programmable divider chips and plan to make the divide by 100 to use my FT990 as a VFO. I will be doing some prototyping and circuit tests today which means that I will have frequency readout to produce frequency resolution to the tenth like137777.3. or 137772.7.

Does anyone know where I can find circuits to set up a 74ls196, and 40161 to do divide by 10 and divide by 10 or divide by 5 and divide by 10? I am sure that I can experiment with nand gates and come up with a way, but I'll bet someone has already done this and can save me the work.

I will be using QRSS when in the watering holes. With only 200 Watts, and being so far from anywhere in the rest of North America, I felt that any tests I perform in the watering hole would not cause interference, provided I do not step on someone else's favorite spots, and I will check on my RX and the grabbers to see if the frequencies are clear.

It would be good for initial testing to be within the passband of one of the grabbers as I would like to see my own signal somewhere to record what is received.

I will need to make a computer keying circuit (perhaps one of my contest LPT port CW keyers?) and find software for keying QRSS... Most likely on one of the WebPages.

Thanks for the list of normal frequencies used. I will make it a point to avoid them.

Let's see what the weekend brings. Hopefully 200W and a beaconing beginning. :o)
