Now my problem is that I am trying to come to terms with the
psychological problems of the cat who thinks he has laid the egg
himself because he has no references on which to base his
non-experience of the event but cannot believe that an object as
regular as an egg can possibly have been designed by a chicken. The
chicken, however, also has no recollection of laying the egg but cannot
believe the cat capable of producing such a desirable artifact!
The egg has not expressed an opinion so far!
Err, Pat, no. The chicken, the cat and the egg are not aware of each
other. They share the same physical space, but their wave
functions do intersect, but do not interact. In a sense, it is like
they belong to different universes.
And this is a Good Thing, because the egg is not subject to the psychological
stress of determining if he is the descendant
of the
chicken or of the cat, or the father of both.
And I have somehow the strong feeling that this stress could have had a
pernicious effect on the eggs and beacon of my
morning breakfast....
