Hello all

600 watts of RF puts about 4 amps into my long wire so if Jack VE1ZZ
gets 12 amps into his long wire, he must have 5 or 6 KW of RF!

Or very low loss : 4 Amps with 600 Watts = 37.5 Ohm loss (at G3OLB)
To get 12A with 600W loss must be as low as 4.5 Ohm, for 1kW you get 12A
with a loss of about 7 Ohm and with 2kW it must be about 14 Ohm.
I believe that Jack lives very close to the ocean, so in combination with a
long wire losses as low as 10 Ohm (or less) are possible.
