Good weekend with low static and fairly low electrical QRM
(everyone out enjoying the sun rather than watching TV), but high
wind resulted in the antenna being lowered both afternoons.
Hearing DF0WD brought my 'heard' total to 65 on 136kHz.
Saturday 10 July
Very low QRM and QRN at start of day.
Heard G3YXM (5 9+10 9); DF0WD (a new one at 219); DF2PY
(569); PA0SE (579); G8RW (599).
Worked G4GVC (gave 599, got 589).
Sunday 11 July
Another very quiet morning at start but local noise came up after
half an hour.
Heard PA0SE (579); G4GVC (599); DF2PY (579), G3YXM (5 9+10
9)
Worked G3YMC (549, 599) but local noise was a problem.
Report by e-mail from HB9ASB that he can now hear my QRSS
signals by ear - thanks, Toni. Only a matter of time (and me getting
up early enough) before we have a real CW QSO.
