I bought one of those DK9SQ telescoping masts a couple of years ago. Yes, its very light but also very weak The top section is maybe 1/4" diameter. I was able to (just barely) get it to hold up a 75m

Mike, Save your money. Buy a telescoping paint pole from Home Depot and lash the 20' fishing rod to it. That way you will have a 33' pole for much less money, and it will be stronger too. -- 73 Warre
