James, The classical method is to use audio isolation transformers between the rig audio in/out and the soundcard, and opto-isolators on the serial port line(s) used for the PTT switching (assuming y

James, LF, Another successful decode this morning, the only one from you, but at least you made it once! 090911 0410 4 -27 1.1 0.503953 G7NKS IO92 10 Cheers! John GM4SLV IP90gg Shetland
For now I am back on WSPR 502.4 James, I just checked on the WSPRNET site, and sorted all your spots by distance - looks like you made it the Shetland twice a couple of days ago. Searched in my ALL_
Roger, Still looking. I do think you'll make it to Shetland one night - it's still very early in the LF season, conditions will get better over the next copule of months. Would you also like to try 1
Hello all, Nice signals from all WSPRers I see there's a disagreement amongst you about whether to report ERP or TX power. Is there an agreed standard for this on MF/LF? Jim, Gary & Gus seem to repor
Jay, I know K1JT is active on 500kHz RX, but I think Andy had a fair point about other people not setting their WSPR data correctly, judging from the spot below:- 2009-09-20 18:16 SM6BHZ 0.503926 +12
Had a go with the WOLF but no decodes though There seems to be a pattern - no one with a strong local signal can decode it, but us in the far distance have no trouble! Perhaps the decoder needs lots
Let me know if you rx the new and improved G7NKS! James, LF, Almost too easy now! 090911 2024 -24 1.1 0.503943 G7NKS IO92 23 090911 2032 -24 1.2 0.503942 G7NKS IO92 23 090911 2054 -27 0.9 0.503942 G7
Roger, One more thing - since you aren't set up for transceive operation and your TX power is fairly low would it be possible for you to operate in continuous TX mode. Then we might spot more easily
Andy, LF Many spots last night - here's just one of them 2352 -6 0.4 0.503851 0 G4JNT IO90 23 And I wasn't even the best DX! Cheers, John GM4SLV -- http://gm4slv.blogspot.com Clousta, Shetland IP90gg

What actual frequency are you transmitting on Roger? As you might have gathered I do have a bit of a problem calibrating WSPR and decoding.... I am running it now, and Argo, and seeing a moderately
I intend to run the WOLF beacon again from around 1900utc onwards this evening Jim, This is too easy.... 2009-09-10 19:03:19 >WOLF10 -r 7997.017 -f 1000 -t 1.0 -d 5 -w 0.0000 t: 24 f: 0.422 a:-1.0 dp

Lubos, It is easy! Select "Band = Other" In the "Dial" frequency box enter 0.5024 This works for me, with version 1.12 You might need to "double click" an area of the waterfall to set a TX frequency
this evening i test an SSB Beacon, QRG 508 kHz LSB. Reports are welcome. Nice signal Gus, in Shetland RS 55 Will send MP3 direct Cheers, John GM4SLV -- http://gm4slv.blogspot.com Clousta, Shetland IP
